Trails

Glencoe Mountain Resort has trails to suit all abilities of rider, from the valley floor West Highland Way trail to the Chairlift accessed Downhill track.

Downhill

Black Route
This technical and steep DH track is only for those who have skill and experience on DH tracks, it is very rocky with hairpins, berms and drops.

Red Route

The new red route at Glencoe opened in May 2012 to hugely positive feedback from local riders. At more than 2km’s long the track flows from the top of the access chair through a series of bumps, jumps and berms back to the base station. The track is suitable for both downhill and XC bikes.

"There were 3 of us - two forty something DH beginners and a 10 year old we can't keep up with. The 10 year old is a competent DH rider and loved the track happily riding a DH bike and a lighter all mountain bike on the track, taking in a lot of the jumps on the way down.  He thinks it is a perfect track for him to develop his skills and speed before stepping up to the Glencoe and Fort William black runs. My skills are that I'm a competent red XC rider and was initially struggling with the loose track, gnarly rocks and steepness.  By the end of our day I had developed a lot more confidence tackling and achieving most of the gnarly bits.  Loved it!"   Roe McKenzie

Road

Glencoe Mountain Resort is the perfect place to start a road cycling route from, with a circuit of 80 miles round past Ballachullish, Glen Etive and Tyndrum and other routes to choose from, once you have conquered the roads you can relax and refuel in our café.

Cross Country - XC

West Highland Way
Stretching from Glasgow to Fort William the West Highland way is 94 miles long, you don't have to do the whole route though! From Glencoe Mountain Resort, Bridge of Orchy is only 11 miles and Kinlochleven is just 9 miles away, the route south offers an easier trail and the route north is more technical with the infamous 'devils staircase' to consider,.

To access the West Highland Way simply ride down the access road towards the cottage and you will see a trail to the right heading south, for rides towards the north carry on along the access road, cross the A82 and join the trail heading left along the valley.

Plateau Trails
Our chairlift accesses trails on the plateau which offer great cross country riding and amazing views from above the valley, the trails are singletrack but not particularly technical so suitable for anyone with a little mountain bike experience.

Our Plateau and DH trails are accessible by the chairlift so once you have your lift pass head up to the left of the chair and our lift operators will help you get your bike on.
